Global human rights body, the Amnesty International has expressed concerns over the worsening security crisis in Zamfara State after bandits allegedly abducted 39 villagers during a meeting convened to negotiate access to farmlands ahead of the farming season.

In a statement released on Monday evening, the human rights organisation said the incident occurred in Magamar Diddi village, located in the Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
