The global human rights organisation, in a statement issued on Tuesday, described the attack, which occurred on June 1, 2026, as a grave violation of international human rights law.
According to Amnesty International, the victims included passengers travelling in a commercial bus when the gunmen invaded the community and carried out the mass abduction.
