On Sunday, she celebrated her remarkable 117th birthday in Kathlehong, Ekurhuleni, surrounded by cherished friends and family who gathered to honour her journey.
Dressed in a blue woolen hat and a blanket draped around her shoulders, Gogo Nkosi radiated joy and wisdom, embodying the spirit of a century filled with both tribulations and triumphs. Despite her large family, spanning generations and including over 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Gogo Nkosi was celebrated by a small group of family and friends.
