Bissondeyi Nimar Mahabeer
Bissondeyi Nimar Mahabeer, a remarkable great-great-grandmother who recently celebrated her 100th birthday, believes her secret to longevity is remaining active, maintaining a positive mindset, and spending time with her loved ones.
Mahabeer, of Clare Estate, celebrated her milestone birthday on June 20.
She was born in Emona, Tongaat, in 1926.
Despite the hardships, Mahabeer fondly remembered her childhood with her parents, Ramjuttan and Baskalia Timmal, and 14 siblings.
