Clare Estate centenarian, Bissoondeyi Nimar Mahabeer
Clare Estate centenarian, Bissoondeyi Nimar Mahabeer, celebrated a century of life, built on faith and family.
Mahabeer marked her 100th birthday on Saturday with a celebration surrounded by family and friends.
Born on June 20, 1926 in Emona, Tongaat, Mahabeer has witnessed a century of change while remaining deeply rooted in the values that have guided her throughout her life.
Surrounded by generations of family, she said the secret to her longevity was "the love and support of my family and friends, regular attendance at satsangs, participation in senior citizens' groups, and avoiding unnecessary medication".
