MANILA, Philippines — The issuance of heat index forecast will be temporarily suspended starting June 5, 2026 due to the start of the rainy season, the state weather bureau said on Friday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Thursday announced the onset of the rainy season in western parts of Luzon and Visayas.

“With the official declaration of the onset of the rainy season, our daily issuance of heat index information will be temporarily suspended starting today (June 5, 2026),” Pagasa said in an advisory.
