Sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) on Thursday seized ₹ 1,12,890 and ₹1,21,400 in unaccounted cash from sub-registrar offices at Thondamuthur and Gandhipuram in Coimbatore district.Separate DVAC teams carried out surprise inspections at the two sub-registrar offices as part of a State-wide drive.DVAC sources said unaccounted cash was seized from a private individual, who claimed to have collected the money on behalf of the sub-registrar at Thondamuthur.During the surprise check at Gandhipuram sub-registrar office located near Saravanampatti, DVAC sleuths unearthed unaccounted for cash from two individuals and from a box, sources said.A total of ₹2,53,000 in unaccounted money was seized during the search held at the sub-registrar at Pongalur in Tiruppur district.
