Sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) seized a total of ₹63,100 in unaccounted cash from touts during a surprise check carried out at the Regional Transport Office, Coimbatore Central, on Thursday.The DVAC team, supervised by Additional Superintendent of Police C. Rajesh, began the surprise check around noon, which went on for a few hours.The DVAC personnel subjected to checks some of the persons who had been acting as touts at the office and seized a total of ₹63,100 in unaccounted cash from them. They could not produce any source for the money. DVAC sources said further action would be initiated with regard to the seizure of the unaccounted money in the coming days.
