Sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) seized ₹3.75 lakh in unaccounted cash during a check carried out at the Regional Transport Office, Kallakurichi on Thursday.The DVAC team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Sathyaraj, began the surprise check at around noon, which went on till 6 p.m. The DVAC personnel subjected to checks some of the persons who had been acting as touts at the office.During the searches, the officers inspected various rooms, including the RTO room, and the offices of the Motor Vehicle Inspectors. The team seized ₹3.75 lakh in unaccounted cash during the operation. The checks were conducted as part of a State-wide operation conducted by the DVAC teams. Published - June 19, 2026 08:18 pm IST
