Hyderabad, June 4: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet on Thursday approved the State Aviation Policy 2026 with an aim to attract investments in the aerospace industry.The policy will allow the State Government to incentivise investments depending on the scale of operations and the size of the investments, K Parthasarathi, Minister of Information and Housing, told newspersons in Amaravati in a media briefing on the Cabinet decisions.The Cabinet, which met in Amaravati under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, also approved a proposal to provide a state guarantee for a ₹300 crore loan from HUDCO to the Andhra Pradesh Power Finance Corporation.To attract more industry players to the Quantum Valley, Amaravati, the stamp duty and registration fees were exempted on the lands allocated to investors in the valley.To hasten work on irrigation projects, the Cabinet approved key administrative clearances for the Polavaram Multi-Purpose Project and other irrigation works in the State.The State Excise Policy was also amended suitably to facilitate the setting up of beach shacks in Visakhapatnam and Cheerala beaches to attract more domestic and foreign tourists.Other key decisions of the Cabinet included land allotment to various companies across the State, implementation of the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission Gramin (VB-G RAM G), and approval of a proposal to get an ordinance issued for the facilitation of human organ transplants.Published on June 4, 2026
