TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Attorney General's Office investigators have opened the opportunity to investigate the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik S. Deyang in the investigation of the alleged corruption case of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program. This case has implicated three suspects, namely the former Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana, as well as his two former deputies, Retired Police Inspector General Sony Sonjaya and Retired TNI Lieutenant General Lodewyk Pusung.Deputy Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the AGO Syarief Sulaeman said that all parties deemed to be aware of criminal events can be summoned for questioning as witnesses. "Anyone who we need to shed light on the criminal acts, anyone can be examined as a witness," said Syarief at his office in South Jakarta on Thursday, June 4, 2026.However, Syarief emphasized that not all witnesses are involved in the corruption. Anyone who has knowledge, he said, needs to be questioned by the prosecutor. Moreover, Nanik previously served as one of Dadan's deputies at BGN.When asked if Nanik had been or would be summoned by investigators, Syarief said it would depend on the needs of the investigation. "We will see the urgency later. But potentially, everyone can be called in," he said. The investigators are currently gathering evidence and mapping out those who are aware of the appointment process of partner foundations and the management of the MBG Program. In this case, the prosecutors are investigating allegations of corruption related to the practice of buying and selling permits of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG/kitchen), the misuse of operational incentives for MBG kitchens, and the alleged involvement of foundations that do not qualify as BGN partners. The prosecutors are also delving into the roles of each suspect according to their authority within BGN. The investigators are also compiling the number of SPPGs affiliated with the suspects. Searches are still ongoing at several MBG kitchen locations in the Jakarta area.Read: Prabowo 'Mournful' Over BGN Overhaul as Former Leaders ArrestedClick here to get the latest news updates from Tempo on Google News
