Gauteng police are on the hunt for suspects following the brutal murder of an 18-year-old teenager in Braamfischerville.

Gauteng police have launched a manhunt following the murder of an 18-year-old teenager who was allegedly attacked with a panga in Braamfischerville, Soweto on Tuesday.

According to police, officers were called to a local clinic after 10am after receiving a report of a death. Upon arrival, medical personnel directed them to the lifeless body of the victim.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the teenager, a grade 10 learner at Mokgome Secondary School in Meadowlands left his home earlier that morning to visit a friend in Phase 1, Braamfischerville.

It is alleged that the pair later went to a secondary school in the area, where the victim was attacked and assaulted by unknown suspects.
