Investigators hunt suspects in Kruger Park killing of elderly tourists.
Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for suspects following the brutal killing of two tourists in the Kruger National Park. The bodies of a 71-year-old male and an unidentified female were discovered near Cross Corner at the intersection of the Levubu and Limpopo River.
According to SAPS Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, the victims arrived at one of the camps in the park on Sunday, driving a green Ford Ranger double cab.
The pair was last seen on Wednesday morning, May 20, at the Pafuri picnic site. A search operation was launched after they failed to return.
"The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage, and the police have opened two counts of murder and hijacking for further investigation."
