The Youth Rights Campaign (YRC) has strongly condemned the violent attack on members of the Take It Back (TIB) Movement and teachers during a protest in Ibadan, Oyo State, to demand the rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers.

The protesters had gathered in Ibadan on Tuesday to demand the immediate and safe release of abducted students and teachers from the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State when they were allegedly attacked by armed thugs.

The protest was organised to demand urgent government intervention in securing the release of over 30 pupils and teachers abducted by terrorists from schools in the Ahoro-Esinle and Yawota communities of Oriire Local Government Area of the state.
