Residents of Oyo State alongside members of the Take-It-Back Movement on Monday staged a protest at Mokola Roundabout in Ibadan, demanding the immediate release of abducted pupils, teachers, and the principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.

The protesters, who converged on the busy Mokola Roundabout as early as 8:00 a.m., displayed banners and placards with several inscriptions condemning the rising insecurity in the state and calling on security agencies to rescue the victims.

The demonstrators expressed concerns over the abduction of the school principal and an unspecified number of students and teachers from the community school, describing the incident as a painful reflection of worsening insecurity across Nigeria.
