Some streets of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, were paralysed on Wednesday morning as human rights activists and aggrieved citizens entered Day 3 of coordinated mass protests over the horrific abduction of dozens of school pupils and their teachers.

Under the banner of the frontline pro-democracy group, the Take It Back (TIB) Movement, the comrades re-mobilised and converged heavily at the strategic Energy Switch (Rose Wale) hub along the ever-busy Iwo Road in Ibadan.
The demonstrators, carrying placards and chanting anti-government slogans, are demanding immediate, decisive military action from both the federal and state governments, alongside the immediate, unconditional release of all the innocent hostages still trapped in terrorist camps.
