Residents of Ogbomosho and members of the Take-It-Back Movement on Monday staged a protest in Oyo State, demanding the immediate rescue and release of schoolchildren, teachers, and a principal who were abducted in Oriire Local Government Area and have remained in captivity for 25 days.

In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, scores of women, men, and children were seen marching through the streets of Ogbomosho, calling on both the Oyo State Government and the Federal Government to take urgent action to secure the victims' freedom.

The protesters carried placards and moved in a procession through major roads in the town. Some rode motorcycles while others trekked alongside them, chanting solidarity songs and appealing for intervention from the authorities.

Several women participating in the demonstration expressed frustration over the prolonged captivity of their children and teachers, urging Nigerians to support efforts to rescue the victims.
