Samira Norouz Naseri, a filmmaker and director residing in Tehran, was detained by security forces on Monday, June 1, and transferred to an unknown location.
According to a report by HRANA, the media arm of Human Rights Activists in Iran, security agents went to the filmmaker’s residence on Monday morning and detained her without presenting a judicial warrant.
Based on information obtained by HRANA, security forces also searched her residence at the time of her arrest. According to informed sources, agents thoroughly searched the artist’s apartment and confiscated several of her personal and professional belongings, as well as electronic equipment, including her laptop and mobile phone.
As of the time of writing, no information is available about Samira Norouz Naseri’s whereabouts, the reasons for her detention, the charges against her, or the agency responsible for the action.
