CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The power supply situation in Oriental Mindoro province slightly improved on Saturday afternoon, May 30, as the electricity deficit in the island’s grid dropped to 2.54 megawatts (MW), according to the latest monitoring report.
Data from the National Transmission Corporation (TransCo), relayed through local power utility Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco), showed that the Oriental Mindoro grid recorded a deficit of 2.54 MW as of 3 p.m.
Despite the reduced shortfall, several areas continued to experience power interruptions due to manual load dropping (MLD), with a total of 5.567 MW worth of feeders remaining unserved.
