MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte stays as the frontrunner in a hypothetical 2028 presidential race, while Sen. Erwin Tulfo has emerged as the top vice-presidential bet, according to a poll.
The Pulse Asia survey, which is commissioned by Stratbase Group, revealed that Duterte leads former Vice President Leni Robredo by 10 percentage points, with six in 10 Filipinos saying they will vote for Duterte in a two-way race in 2028.
Meanwhile, five out of 10 Filipinos say they would vote for Tulfo as vice president in 2028.
The survey, conducted from May 3 to 7 among 1,500 respondents nationwide, found that 51 percent would vote for Duterte in a head-to-head matchup against Robredo, who garnered 41 percent support. Eight percent said they were undecided or declined to answer.
