MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte topped the 2028 presidential preference rankings and net satisfaction ratings among high-level government officials in two separate surveys released on Saturday by the country’s leading pollsters.

The surveys by Pulse Asia and Social Weather Stations (SWS) were conducted before the House of Representatives impeached Duterte on May 11 for alleged corruption and betrayal of public trust. She is set to stand trial before the Senate impeachment court starting July 6.

The Pulse Asia survey commissioned by Stratbase Group found that if the May 2028 elections were held today, a majority of Filipinos (51 percent) would vote Duterte for president, followed by 41 percent who would vote for former Vice President now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo. Eight percent said they were undecided or declined to answer.
