According to information obtained by IranWire, 38-year-old Davoud Soltani, a teacher, husband, and father of three, was shot and killed with live ammunition on January 9 in the Alikhani area of the Malekshahr neighborhood in Isfahan.
According to an informed source, the live round hit him in the flank. Following a complete lack of news regarding his whereabouts, his relatives searched for him for three days, visiting various centers, but no information about his fate was provided to them.
According to this account, officials finally contacted the family and instructed them to go to Bagh-e Rezvan to claim his body. The family stated that Davoud Soltani had not been transferred to a hospital after the shooting, and his body had been taken directly into the custody of the responsible authorities.
The body of Davoud Soltani was handed over to his family on January 12, and his burial ceremony was held on January 13 in Shahin Shahr. Davoud Soltani was a teacher and, according to those close to him, had dedicated his life to his work and his family. He was married and the father of triplets.
