The Revolutionary Court of Juybar has sentenced Noyan Hejazi, a Baha'i citizen residing in the city, to prison and a cash fine.
According to reports received by IranWire, the Juybar Revolutionary Court, operating through Branch 102 of the Criminal Court, sentenced Noyan Hejazi to 7 months and 16 days in prison on the charge of "propaganda against the regime." Furthermore, on the charge of "propagating the Baha'i faith," this Baha'i citizen has been sentenced to pay a fine of 122,501,000 tomans and has been handed a ten-year deprivation of social rights.
Noyan Hejazi was previously arrested at his personal residence on June 25, 2025, without the presentation of a judicial warrant, and was transferred to Kachoui Prison in Sari. Following 40 days of detention, he was temporarily released on bail. Additionally, Lova Samimi, Mr. Hejazi's wife, was also detained for several days during the course of this legal case.
