A group of aggrieved All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants in Rivers State have accused the party leadership and screening committee of undermining internal democracy.
They described the recently concluded primaries as a “daylight robbery.”
Speaking under the umbrella of the Rivers APC Aspirants Right Forum, the aspirants alleged that the screening process was manipulated to favour selected individuals, with only one aspirant reportedly cleared per constituency ahead of the primaries.
The statement was signed by Engr. Legborsi Yamaabana, aspirant for Khana Constituency II and Coordinator of the Rivers APC Aspirants Right Forum, on May 28, 2026.
