Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday (May 28, 2026) proposed that the Bharat Ratna be conferred on N.T. NTR’s contributions to the Telugu film industry were immense, Mr. Naidu said.He said that under NTR’s stewardship the TDP emerged as a key player in national politics and had a role in the formation of governments at the Centre.“NTR was a great leader. He stood as a symbol of self-respect for the Telugu race.
