MP M. Sribharat paying floral tributes to the founder of Telugu Desam Party, N.T. Rama Rao during the Mahanadu programme organised at North Assembly Constituency in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadres participated in the annual ‘Mahanadu’ organised across various clusters, on Wednesday. Following the call from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, this year’s event was organised virtually in various function halls including at Bheemunipatnam, Gajuwaka, Pendurthi and other places. A large number of supporters, former corporators attended the event.The main event was held at Subbalakshmi Kalyana Mandapam in Visakhapatnam North Constituency, which was led by MP M. Sribharat, Parliamentary Constituency president Chode Pattabhiram, and general secretary Lodagala Krishna.Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sribharat said that the TDP is moving forward with a clear vision to strengthen its future through greater participation of youth and women in politics and public leadership.He added that the political systems and election dynamics across the world are rapidly evolving, making the need of technological expertise increasingly essential in modern politics. He said: “Today’s youth, especially in the era of social media and digital communication, are quick to understand social transformations and public sentiment, making their participation in public policy and governance a timely necessity."The MP emphasised that the TDP always believes in recognising and encouraging dedicated party workers. "The party is adopting modern digital platforms and data-driven systems to evaluate grassroots performance and provide deserving leaders with opportunities to grow within the organisation,” he said.He further added that IT Minister Nara Lokesh assuming responsibilities as the working president of the TDP has infused fresh enthusiasm among the youth. Highlighting the importance of women’s participation in politics, Mr. Sribharat said that the party remains firmly committed to providing greater representation and leadership opportunities to women at every level from grassroots organisations to the State Assembly and Parliament.
