Members from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) paid tributes to NT Rama Rao, former Chief Minister and TDP founder on his birth anniversary on Thursday.MP M. Sribharat paid floral tributes to NTR’s statue at Beach Road, along with East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Visakhapatnam TDP Parliamentary Constituency president Chode Pattabhiram, and others.Later, Mr. Sribharat participated in the ‘Mahanadu’ programme organised at the TDP Office.Recalling NTR’s historic contribution towards granting equal property rights to women, Mr. Sribharat said the revolutionary decisions taken by NTR laid a strong foundation for women empowerment and social transformation. He further stated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s support to self-help groups has become a model for the entire country. He further added that the TDP has consistently taken historic decisions on women’s reservation and clarified that the party would ensure 33% opportunities for women within the organisation irrespective of the implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill.
