The American University in Cairo (AUC), in cooperation with a number of individuals and corporations, is offering Public-School Scholarships for Egyptian students who have graduated from public schools with outstanding academic records and demonstrated financial need.
The scholarship programme aims to expand access to English-language higher education for talented but underprivileged Egyptian students. It seeks to support young people with exceptional academic potential by enabling them to pursue undergraduate studies and participate in scientific research that benefits both educational institutions and Egyptian society as a whole.
The scholarships are available for bachelor’s degree programmes related to Egypt’s economic, social, and environmental development priorities. Successful applicants will receive support for a period of four to five years.
The scholarships cover full tuition fees. Eligible students residing outside Cairo and Giza will also receive accommodation in a shared room in AUC university dormitories. In addition, eligible students who do not live in university housing will qualify for free transportation provided by AUC.
Applicants must be Egyptian students graduating during the 2025–2026 academic year from public schools, experimental schools, STEM schools, or Nile schools. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, prove financial need, and satisfy AUC admission requirements.
