The American University in Cairo (AUC) has announced three new academic programmes for this year that seek to foster interdisciplinary learning and keep place with job market needs.

The programmes include a new minor in sustainable energy, a specialised track in genomics and biotechnology for biology students, and a restructured music major.

The university says the changes reflect its commitment to ensuring that students graduate with the skills needed for careers, while strengthening AUC’s position as a regional leader in academic excellence.
