The Association of Arab Universities has announced a partnership with the United States based Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) one of the world’s best known business school accreditation systems.
In a statement, the Association said the partnership should improve the quality of higher education in the Arab region and increase contacts with global academic networks in the internationally competitive business field.
Based in Florida in the United States, AACSB is one of the foremost international organisations specialising in the accreditation of business schools. It was established in 1916 and awards academic accreditation widely regarded as a global benchmark for quality in business education. Getting AACSB accreditation signals an institution’s commitment to best practices in teaching and research, and that it has a curriculum that meets the demands of the labour market. It should improve the competitiveness of business programmes at Arab universities and help them gain international recognition.
