Students of Kaulayanan Elementary School in Talakag, Bukidnon, including members of the Talaandig tribe, received free school supplies from GMA Kapuso Foundation through its Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan project.According to a "24 Oras" report on Monday, four classrooms in the elementary school caught fire in January due to old wiring. For the past few months, the school has slowly recovered with help from the local government unit.Despite what happened to the school, the community continues to persevere. Maraming salamat. Malaking tulong ito sa mga anak ko," said Gemma Tacbobo"That will inspire and encourage our learners. Meron silang mga school supplies na to start the new school year," added Dr. Rosemarie Macesar, assistant schools division superintendent of the Department of Education in Bukidnon. For those who wish to support GMA Kapuso Foundation's projects, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, Shopee, and Palawan Pay.
