MANILA, Philippines — The distribution of P20,000 in educational assistance under the national government’s “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” presidential scholarship program continued in Lucena City, Quezon Province on Tuesday.
In a ceremony at the Lucena City Government Complex, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. handed out P20,000 each in educational assistance to the 165 students for their school-related expenses.
The funds for the “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” come from the Socio-civic projects fund of the Office of the President, under which each barangay in the country will receive P200,000, with half of the grant allotted for its 5 presidential scholars.
