Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) reported that Ruhollah Karaki, a political prisoner being held in Ahvaz’s Sheiban Prison, has been sentenced to death.
According to the HRANA report, the indictment against him included charges such as “the dissemination and leakage of classified documents,” “cooperation with the People’s Mojahedin Organization (MEK),” “espionage for Israel and the exchange of military and intelligence data,” “insulting sanctities and officials,” and “acting against national security.”
HRANA stated that after the indictment was issued, Ruhollah Karaki’s case was sent to Criminal Court Two in Ahvaz, which later sentenced him to death.
