MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang will not yet seek the help of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Nicolas Torre III in tracking down and arresting fugitive Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro on Sunday said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has not yet ordered the tapping of additional personnel to assist law enforcement agencies.
“There is no message from the president about that. I do not want to preempt the President’s decision. But for now, it seems the forces of the PNP-CIDG (Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group) and the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) are sufficient,” she said in an interview on dzMM.
She also urged all Filipinos to help in locating the senator.
