DAGUPAN CITY — The cyber libel and slander complaints filed by a vlogger from Mapandan town against a barangay chairman in San Jacinto, Pangasinan, and a local media personality from Mangaldan town were dismissed by the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Abra for lack of probable cause.
The dismissed complaints, filed by vlogger Jaime Aquino, were lodged against Zandro de Guzman, barangay chair of Sto. Tomas, San Jacinto, and radio broadcaster Ronald Allan Sison.
Aquino reportedly sought the inhibition of the Dagupan prosecutors after two earlier complaints he filed against former Pangasinan Fourth District Representative Christopher de Venecia and Aksyon Radyo manager Violy Valdez Ferrer were dismissed by the Dagupan City Prosecutor’s Office.
In the latest cases, Abra prosecutors found “no prima facie case with reasonable certainty of conviction” to hold the respondents liable.
