Super Chennai Arattai brought together entrepreneurs, students, professionals, and aspiring change makers in the city for an evening featuring G.S.K. Velu, founder and chairman, Neuberg Diagnostics, who was honoured as Super Chennai’s “Icon of the Month.” Dr. Velu said the medical system was evolving beyond treatment-focused models, towards one centred on prediction, prevention and early intervention. He said nearly 80% of the medical devices were imported, underscoring the need for greater domestic innovation and manufacturing. Stronger collaboration between healthcare, technology, research and manufacturing could position India as a global leader in med-tech, driving self-reliance while delivering scalable and affordable healthcare solutions, he said.
