Track renewal works will be undertaken at the Perundurai Railway Yard in the Erode–Tiruppur section on May 24.A press release from the Salem Railway Division said Train No. 16843 Tiruchi–Palakkad Town Express, scheduled to leave Tiruchi at 1 p.m., would be short-terminated at Erode Junction. After completion of the works, the train would run as an unreserved special train from Erode Junction to Palakkad Town with the same stoppages.Similarly, Train No. 16321 Nagercoil–Coimbatore Express, scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 8 a.m., would be short-terminated at Erode Junction on the day. After completion of the works, the train would run as an unreserved special train from Erode Junction to Coimbatore Junction with the same stoppages, the release added.
