Track renewal and maintenance works at the Karur railway yard will result in changes to the operation of three trains on July 10.A release from the Southern Railway, Salem Division, said Train No. 56809 Tiruchi–Erode Passenger, scheduled to depart Tiruchi Junction at 7.25 a.m., will be short-terminated at Karur Junction and will not operate between Karur and Erode. Train No. 16845 Erode–Sengottai Express, scheduled to leave Erode Junction at 2 p.m., will start from Karur Junction at 3.05 p.m. The train will remain cancelled between Erode and Karur.Train No. 16846 Sengottai–Erode Express, scheduled to depart Sengottai at 5.20 a.m., will be short-terminated at Karur. On completion of the maintenance works, an unreserved special train will be operated from Karur to Erode with the same halts as the regular Sengottai–Erode Express, the release added.
