A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olawale Fapohunda, has threatened legal action against a concerned citizen, Temitope Ebenezer Oladunjoye, over allegations linking him and political associates to violent attacks allegedly carried out in Okemesi, Ekiti State
Temitope, who spoke to SaharaReporters, stated that some political thugs working for the senior lawyer attacked and macheted members of the Faaja Political Group on May 15, 2026.
According to him, instead of security agencies investigating the alleged attacks and arresting the perpetrators, Fapohunda, through his lawyers, issued a legal threat demanding the payment of N500 million in damages over a social media post narrating the incident.
In a video and photographs obtained by SaharaReporters, some of the alleged victims were seen with visible injuries and bloodstains on their heads, mouths and bodies, while others were pictured lying on hospital beds receiving treatment.
