A Lagos-based law firm, Legalfield Partners, has issued a pre-action memorandum of claim demanding a public apology, retraction, and deletion of alleged defamatory publications made against the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya.

The notice, dated May 25, 2026, was addressed to one Aminat Joy Igene Mustapha and signed by counsel, Jude Ehiedu, Partner at Legalfield Partners.

It was issued in compliance with the High Court of Lagos State Civil Procedure Rules and described the allegations as “false, malicious and reckless.”

According to the letter, the church said the controversy began after it allegedly extended accommodation assistance to the respondent during a period of personal difficulty, after which she allegedly became dissatisfied with internal decisions and launched a “deliberate campaign of false and malicious publications” against the ministry and its leader.
