Presiding Judge Peter Kekemeke ordered the anti-graft agency to retract its publication, issue a public apology on its website and in two national newspapers, and desist from making further defamatory remarks against the former minister.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja has ruled in favour of former Minister of Power and Steel, Dr. Olu Agunloye, in his libel suit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), awarding him all the reliefs he sought and imposing ₦10 million in damages against the anti-graft agency.

Judgment in Suit No. FCT/HC/CV/1199/2024, Olu Agunloye v. EFCC, was delivered on Wednesday by Justice Kekemeke at the FCT High Court, Maitama, Abuja.
According to Agunloye, the court granted all the reliefs contained in his Statement of Claim. Full details of the judgment are expected to be released once the court makes the certified copy available.
