President Iliana Yotova has said she does not share concerns that Bulgaria would be unable to handle the organization of Eurovision 2027, speaking to journalists in Pazardzhik.

She expressed confidence in the country’s capacity to manage the large-scale event and voiced hope for continued musical success at the competition.

“I do not share the reservations that we will not be able to handle the organization of Eurovision,” Yotova said, adding that she hopes Bulgaria will once again produce a strong representative like DARA.

She also confirmed that DARA has been invited to the traditional presidential reception on May 24, noting that the invitation extends to her entire team and that the event is expected to bring together around 3,000 attendees.

Yotova underlined the importance of the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov to oversee preparations for Eurovision 2027, describing it as a positive factor for the project. She said his background in national and international affairs, as well as his understanding of both cultural and diplomatic processes, is key to ensuring effective organization.
