He alleged that the inclusion of his name was intentionally done by the state APC and Uzo-Uwani stakeholders to disqualify him from contesting the election on the platform of the NDC.
An aspirant of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency in Enugu State, Barrister Chidiebere Benjamin Oti, has raised the alarm over the inclusion of his name in the electoral cards/ballot materials for the House of Representatives primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on Saturday, May 16.
Oti, who faulted the inclusion of his name in the process, said he resigned his membership of APC on May 4 after Governor Peter Mbah adopted another aspirant as the consensus candidate and had since joined NDC.
He alleged that the inclusion of his name was intentionally done by the state APC and Uzo-Uwani stakeholders to disqualify him from contesting the election on the platform of the NDC.
In a statement by his media team, Oti said he bought the APC nomination/expression of interest form but the Governor's decision to adopt a consensus candidate and that his absence from the APC screening exercise and the entire process is a matter of public record.
