Washiela Opperman has been gunned down.
The community of the Wesbank are seeking justice for Saturday’s mass murder victims after the senseless shooting left four parents dead and a boy, 7, injured.
The incident in Strandveld Street claimed the lives of three women and a man. Relatives Washiela Opperman and Marius Opperman were among the deceased.
Washiela was married to Marius’ brother.
According to a family representative and community leader, who wants to protect her identity, the shooting is believed to be related to jealousy, as Washiela and her husband had a fruit and veg stall.
