A corporal attached to the Nigeria Police Force has resigned from service after alleging prolonged delays in his transfer request despite making payments through multiple channels, while also battling a worsening family crisis.

SaharaReporters learnt that the officer, identified as Corporal Aminu Sani with Force Number 526000, was attached to the 84 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Ilaro, Ogun State, before submitting his resignation letter dated May 18, 2026.

In the letter addressed to the Inspector General of Police through the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, the officer said tragic family circumstances forced him to take the decision after exhausting efforts to secure a transfer closer to his family in Kano State.
