A police constable attached to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (EOD-CBRN) unit of the Nigeria Police Force in Ibadan, Oyo State, has resigned from the Force, citing prolonged emotional distress, depression, frustration and declining morale.
The officer, identified as Police Constable (PC) Aibana Daniel, Force Number 533200, attached to EOD-CBRN Base 19, Ibadan, tendered his resignation in a letter obtained by SaharaReporters, dated August 10, 2026,
Daniel addressed the letter through the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, Eleyele, Ibadan, to the Inspector-General of Police, Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Abuja.
In the letter titled “Letter of Resignation from Nigeria Police Force,” the constable stated that his resignation took effect from August 10, 2026.
