U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were down 0.6% and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.7%. Changes in futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.

In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 declined 0.8% in morning trading. Teleperformance rose 9.6% and Interpump Group added 5.4%. On the other hand, 3i Group slipped 4.5%, and Rockwool Series B dropped 4.4%. The FTSE 100 lost 0.2%. Other stocks in Europe were down as France's CAC 40 decreased 1.2% and Germany's DAX fell 0.5%.

The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index fell 0.1% to 95.8.

In commodities, Brent crude climbed 1.3% to $110.70 a barrel, and WTI crude rose 2% to $107.58 a barrel. The European benchmark price for natural gas, the Dutch futures contract TTF, was up 2.9% at 51.63 euros a megawatt hour.

The German 10-year Bund yield climbed by 1 basis point to 3.181% from 3.17%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury rose by 2 basis points to 4.612% from 4.596%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
