Fresh controversy has erupted within the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after angry party members in Offa Local Government Area openly protested against the conduct of the party’s primary elections, accusing Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the state leadership of imposing preferred candidates on members.
In videos obtained by SaharaReporters on Saturday, visibly aggrieved party members were seen protesting and lamenting what they described as the denial of their right to vote during the primaries.
In one of the videos, a woman addressing a crowd of frustrated APC members repeatedly asked in Yoruba: “Were you allowed to vote for your preferred candidate?”
The crowd responded loudly in unison: “No! They did not allow us to vote.”
