A 32-year-old man was beaten to death allegedly by his younger brother and his associates, outside his house in Mandaveli on Saturday evening over a family dispute.
The victim, identified as Nishanth, 32, was a resident of Bharathi Nagar in Mandaveli.
According to the police, shortly after his younger brother asked him to come out of his house, a group of men arrived on a motorcycle and an autorickshaw, and surrounded him.
When Nishanth attempted to escape, the gang chased him, and attacked him with stones and a knife before fleeing the spot. Nishanth was rushed to the Government Royapettah Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that Nishanth’s brother, Naveen, and his associates allegedly attacked him using cement stones near his residence.
