The United States has not requested the use of bases in Italy for its attacks on Iran, Alfredo Mantovano, the Cabinet Secretary with the brief for national security, said at the presentation of the annual intelligence report on Wednesday.
Mantovano added that the government was evaluating requests for defence systems from countries in the Persian Gulf area.
